Our team is now calculating the second distribution.
If you received and cashed a first distribution cheque, we are aiming to send second distribution cheques by the end of October. If your mailing address has changed, please contact RicePoint at at canadacartage@ricepoint.com or 1-888-713-5220.
If you received a letter indicating that you were not receiving a first distribution cheque due to being under the $50 minimum, then, depending on the result of the second distribution calculations, you may or may not receive a cheque in the second distribution.
If you were sent a first distribution cheque that was not cashed, these cheques became stale after six months (end of June/early July 2023). Pursuant to the distribution protocol approved by the Court, it is too late to request a reissue of that cheque and you will not receive a second distribution cheque. We would nonetheless urge people in this situation to reach out to RicePoint and update your contact information with them. In the event there are funds left over following the second distribution, we will seek guidance from the Court about what to do with those funds, which could include paying them to class members who missed their first distribution cheques.
