Update – November 7, 2022

The team is currently finalizing the first distribution of settlement funds, as contemplated by the Distribution Order. The first distribution cheques for employees in the Ontario/Quebec Driver or Hourly Non-Driver, Calgary Driver and Eligible Salaried Non-Managerial Employees categories should be in the mail by the end of November.

For those in the Warehouse Employee, Western Hourly Non-Driver and Other Eligible Western Employee categories, we have encountered some data challenges, largely surrounding ascertaining union membership. As time spent working in a unionized role is not eligible for the settlement, we need to make sure that employees who joined unions during the class period have both their pre-unionization and post-unionization tenure correctly reflected. We have received updated data from Canada Cartage and are currently working to update the distribution. We anticipate that the first cheques should be sent out before the holiday season.
