Update – June 10, 2024

The second distribution cheques are going to be mailed out the week of June 24, 2024.

The second distribution includes interest that has accrued on the remaining settlement funds and also redistributes money not cashed in the first distribution to those class members who cashed their first distribution cheques, pursuant to the Distribution Protocol. As a result, the second distribution cheques are larger than originally estimated.

RicePoint is continuing to seek a refund of the taxes and payroll deductions that had been made on the uncashed cheques, but has not received an updated timeline from the CRA. If or when these funds are recovered, then we will consider next steps.
